And who better to add that touch of sophistication than the WGN's own marxian-moustache-wielding designer, Shawn. First, inspired by a trip to the vineyards of Tuscany he created silver and golden hued moodboards of the things he saw. The glint of silver service, the glow of a beautiful sunset shining through a glass of wine, cosy, familiar scenes of people sharing an evening together. This snapshot of Tuscan bliss painted life as a regal event, and that comes through in Shawn's final design. In it, if we look closely, we see people laughing, a silver serving dish containing who-knows-what delicious food inside, and of course - the grape (standing in for cherry) on top.
